This is one of the ‘classic’ views looking down upon Three Cliff Bay on the Gower Peninsula, the first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in the UK.
The warm colours reflect the late afternoon April sunshine. Oil painting on canvas on board, 31 x 31 cm.
I love the colour of the sand and bracken in your painting of Three Cliffs Bay, Emma
Thank you, Emma. I never tire of painting this bay. As I’m sure you know, it is constantly changing, influenced by the tide, the weather, the time of day… even my own mood.

I agree. The tide is quite incredible – it changes the bay so much. I was there at high tide last week – it looked so different from low tide.
