Dennis hits Mumbles, 16.2.20 (SOLD)
This is the view of Mumbles Head from Bracelet Bay car park – the view that most people are familiar with, and the one where I’ve sat in the comfort of my car to draw many times. Sometimes the rain … Continue reading

Towards Gurnard’s head, North Penwith, Cornwall
A small 20cm square oil painting completed in one sitting from sketches and photographs taken last October. It is a view from Zennor Head on the north Penwith peninsula in Cornwall. Gurnard’s Head can be seen in the distance.

Rocks, Porthmeor Beach, St Ives
30cm square oil painting of rocks on Porthmeor Beach, St Ives, Cornwall. This painting was worked up from sketches made on the spot last month. My problem is that I tend to tighten up and over articulate detail in paintings … Continue reading

North Penwith coastal inlet, Cornwall
This painting is another from my trip last month to St Ives. It was painted along the north Penwith coast about a mile west of St Ives. I love the rugged quality of this coastline, the bright luminosity of the sea contrasting … Continue reading
